Access to the beach
Our wooden clad container can be found to the north of the car park along the promenade, near to the Marine Activities Centre.
Access to the beach is via a wide and shallow ramp. At the edge of ramp as you move onto the beach there are a couple of meters of small stones, these need to be navigated before setting on the sandy beach.
There is also a ramp in front of the lifeboat station which gives access to the beach, please be mindful when using this ramp as it is essential lifeboat activity is not compromised.
Please note when travelling on the beach you should not pass Holey rock near to the 'pods' as you can easily be trapped by incoming tide in this area.
When the tide is high there can be very little beach to make use of, so it’s always advisable to check the tides before you come. You can do this using the Tide Times website Opens in a new window.
