Seaton Carew

"Just back from a visit to Seaton, your volunteers there were fabulous!."

Location

We can be found in Unit 1 of Seaton bus station, near the clock. We are the unit closest to the ice cream shop!

Seaton Carew's beautiful beach stretches at least a mile in each direction of the resort centre.  The southern area of the beach leads to protected sand dunes, home of nesting terns in the early summer months.

Parking

Parking is available in a number of car parks around the bus station. Rocket House car park is the nearest with 4 disabled bays, these are free to blue badge holders.

Access to the beach

From our storage until the path takes you to a small ramp straight onto the promenade. From here there is another ramp with a gentle incline which leads directly onto the beach.

Seaton Carew has a large expanse of beach, because of this there is a lot of soft sand to cover before reaching the harder sand. This can make pushing quite difficult so needs to be considered before visiting.

When the tide is high there can be very little harder sand, so it’s always advisable to check the tides before you come. You can do this using the Tide Times website Opens in a new window.
